Benjamin F. Edwards brings more than thirty-five (35) years of legal experience, knowledge, and wisdom to cases that he handles. He is one of nine (9) Ecclesiastic Judges in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Inc., and deliberates and rules on church matters from all over the world.
Attorney Edwards is a former Illinois Assistant Attorney General (Child Support and Lien Collection) and Special Assistant Attorney General (Eminent Domain), Chairman of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness for the Fifth Appellate District, and Legal Redress Chairman of the Illinois State Conference Branch NAACP. In addition, he has served as a municipality corporation counsel, township attorney, village attorney, fire and police board attorney, school board attorney, church attorney and criminal Justice instructor at several local colleges.
Mr. Edwards has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from St. Louis University, and a law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri.

Attorney Edwards is active in his church, community and bar association. He is a Senior Steward and Chairman of the Men's Ministry in his local church; a member of Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation, Inc. (Legal Aid) Board of Directors; and, Metro East Bar Association.
